Privacy Policy

The basics

This Privacy Policy explains how Fancy Film ("Fancy," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit fancyfilm.com, contact us through the site, or interact with content we host here. We have tried to write it in plain language.

Using this website means you understand the practices described here. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or submit information through it.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

• Information you give us. When you fill out a contact or inquiry form, start a chat, email us, or call, you may share your name, email address, phone number, company, and details about your project or request.
• Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, we and our providers may collect technical and usage data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring links, and the dates and times of visits. Much of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
• Information from embedded services. Some pages include third-party content, such as 3D room tours and a map on our contact page. Those providers may receive technical data from your browser when the content loads.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• respond to your inquiries and follow up about projects, rooms, events, or services;
• operate, maintain, and improve the website;
• understand how the site is used so we can make it more useful;
• keep records of our communications and business relationships; and
• protect the site, our visitors, and our business, and comply with the law.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to run the site, remember your preferences, understand traffic, and support chat and customer-relationship tools.

Use “Analytics choices” in the footer to choose or change optional tracking:

• Decline optional: we keep analytics and advertising consent denied.
• Analytics only: we enable Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and inquiry events. On visits from Google Ads, our analytics setup may also receive one validated Google Ads click identifier from the landing-page address. Other query details are removed from the page address supplied by our analytics setup. This choice keeps advertising storage and advertising user data consent denied.
• Analytics + ad measurement: in addition to analytics, we allow Google to store and read advertising cookies and use visit and conversion data for advertising measurement, helping us understand which ads lead to inquiries.

Fancy does not enable personalized advertising through any of these choices. Earlier analytics-only permission stays analytics-only unless you choose ad measurement.

Our direct Google Analytics tag loads only after analytics acceptance. Google Tag Manager loads when you visit the site; its consent-aware advertising tags may send limited measurements without advertising cookies while consent is denied. Declining optional tracking therefore does not mean no network requests reach Google.

You can withdraw permission at any time using the footer control. We update the consent signals and attempt to remove the associated Google measurement cookies accessible to this site. Withdrawal does not undo data already sent.

HubSpot chat loads independently of your Google Analytics choice. Declining Analytics does not disable HubSpot or other third-party content that a page may load.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in limited ways:

• Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the site and our outreach, including HubSpot (forms, chat, and customer-relationship management) and Google Analytics (optional traffic measurement), Google Ads (advertising measurement), and Google Tag Manager, as well as hosting providers. They may process information on our behalf under agreements that limit how they can use it.
• Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Fancy, our visitors, or others.
• Business transfers. If Fancy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Third-party services and embeds

This site relies on third-party services that have their own privacy practices, including HubSpot, Google Analytics after acceptance, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager, the 3D tour provider used for room previews, the map provider on our contact page, and the social and industry links in our footer (such as Instagram, IMDb, and LinkedIn). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services, and we encourage you to review their policies.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to your request, maintain our business records, and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Your privacy choices and California rights

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages, and you can ask us to update or delete information you have shared.

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California privacy law, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or deletion of your personal information, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell personal information, there is no sale for you to opt out of.

To make a request, reach us through our contact page or the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold. No website or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Visitors outside the United States

Fancy is based in the United States and operates the site from there. If you access the site from another region, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes may be highlighted on the site. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
