Joel Ides
Senior Colorist
Colorist Joel Ides is a student of photography and film production, earning an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1997 and an MFA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount in 2001.
In 2006 Joel worked on the color grade for the Chris Rock documentary Good Hair and he has been working in the medium ever since. His television credits include The Neistat Brothers for HBO, Mountain Men for the History Channel, Three Days to Live for Bio, and Behind the Mask for Hulu, among others. His film credits include the cult independent features The Rambler, Tales of Halloween, We Are Still Here, Batkid and more than 50 other feature projects.
He has graded music videos for artists such as Ben Folds Five, John Fogerty, Avicii, Warpaint, and Counting Crows. His commercial color grading work includes national campaign spots for Disney.
